We just finished up an awesome Mortal Kombat 11 tournament at GameStop and it was epic!! We had some awesome people come out and compete in the first MK11 tournament in the DMV and it did not disappoint. We had players at all levels come out to have a good time. Some games started out with some 🔥 like the matches between Sterling vs Trevor and Tony vs Tayvon. Slowly but surely competitors were falling. The semi final match of the winners bracket between Mario and Henderson was lit. Both had been dominating since the start and it could have gone either way, but it was Henderson with his relentless attack’s with Jade who took it 2-0. There was just as much excitement in the losers bracket. Trevor and sterling had been trashing talking the entire time with Trevor dying for a rematch. Trevor kept saying “I’m going to uncle Phil you bro”, a Fresh Prince reference where uncle Phil hustles some guys in pool by pretending to suck. No one knew how the bracket would be set but if by destiny the grudge match if the century was about to go down. Sterling vs Trevor.... will Trevor get his revenge?.... will he “Uncle Phil Sterling”?..... Will Sterling be victorious?... find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z 😂 Jk. The match was about to start, Trevor could be heard saying “Bring our Lucille 😏” another fresh prince reference. Many thought this was going to be a repeat as Sterling dominated Trevor in the first match of the tournament. But little did we know Trevor had been perfecting his skills through the event. Sterling put up a good fight but in a strange turn of events Trevor dominated Sterling and took the series 2-0. Sterling was indeed UNCLE PHILLED 😂. The next match was between Tony and Trevor for the loser bracket finals! Tony has dominated the entire tournament but fell short to Henderson in the finals of the winners bracket. Tony competes dominated Trevor busing Noob. And he finished him off with a disgustingly awesome fatality. The grand finals was a matchup of the undefeated Henderson and the champion of the loser bracket Tony. In there first meeting Henderson dominated Tony and he looked to do it again. Each brought out their main, Henderson had Jade, Tony had Noob. The casters were hyped for this final, the best players at the tournament competing for all the marbles. Tony need to win to win the push and go to another best of 5 series. But Henderson was not going to make it easy, his brutal combos with jade and her ability to use distance as a weapon made it difficult for Tony. Tony couldn’t find a way to defeat his onslaught of attached and Henderson took the championship in a clean sweep!
