My father raised my brother and I to be competitive gamers. Whether it was Qbert, Frogger, Tekken or Mario Cart, he bred us to win. The countless losses my father imposed on me created a incessant need for me to win. That competitive drive to win and my love for gaming is what makes competitive gaming such an exhilarating experience. Games may change, but the drive to win remains the same.
The former 'Master' of the consoles. As for a lot of Generation X'ers, Atari was where it all started. From Pac-Man and Astroid, to Pitfall and Super Mario, I played it all. So it was only right to introduce my boys to the world of 16 and 32bit gaming systems. Little did I know, they would quickly surpass me and claim the title of 'Master'. The rest is history...
An avid reader and gadget guru, I felt that video games were the epitome of the future. I can remember in the early 90's my dad bringing home a Sega Genesis with NBA Jam and Kid Chameleon. That began the era of the incessent urge for competition with whomever picked up the controller and pressed "Start". Capitol Underground is the next phase of that urge.
Welcome to Capitol Underground Gaming League!
"Life is a competition, you either eat or be eaten."
These are words we have lived by, competitive gaming has always been at the center of our focus. We started out by hosting competitive tournaments between family back in the 90's. The competitive spirit led us to host 24 hour Tekken, Mario Kart 64, Super Smash, No Mercy and Golden Eye tournaments to see who was the king of gaming in our family. That same competitive spirit let us to create Capitol Underground Gaming League. We want to foster that same competitive spirit that creates a drive to win and be the best and bring it to the DMV.
